I’m Infertile – Now what?

You or your partner has received a diagnosis of infertility. Now what? Maybe you have been working with your OB/GYN to find out about your options, or maybe you’ve followed up on a referral to a local fertility clinic. Either way, there is a lot of information to process – even more if you search Google and try to stay up with trends and news on infertility treatments and diets.

But when diet, exercise, going organic, prescription medications, wearing loose fitting jeans, yoga, acupuncture, stress reduction, weight loss, and even more advanced treatments, such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) may not result in a bun in the oven, perhaps it’s time for something else.

At least that may be what you are hearing from everyone around you, who may be encouraging you to adopt. Maybe you’re debating between international adoption and domestic adoption, but feel that those options are too expensive or may take too much time. Maybe you’ve even considered foster adoption, but cannot bear the thought of a child being placed with you only to be reunified with their birth family.  You may feel like the clock is ticking and you don’t have all the money in the world. You just want a child and are discouraged and frustrated with the options presented to you.

Perhaps there is another way… another option… Have you ever heard about embryo adoption?  Frozen embryos often remain after people have completed their families through IVF. You can adopt these remaining embryos through a process called embryo donation and adoption – The newest form of adoption!
