Success Rates in Embryo Donation and Adoption

According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), the national average rate for pregnancy when using the process of embryo donation and adoption is 43 percent per embryo transferred and the national average live-birth rate is 35 percent per embryo transferred.

These statistics are from a database of all U.S. Fertility Clinics practicing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). In many cases, couples who choose to build their families through embryo donation and adoption adopt all the remaining embryos the donor family has, meaning the adoptive family may be able to achieve multiple Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET) and have several children as a result of one adoption.
